To support organizational transformation, BC Transit developed an action plan aimed at enhancing employee performance and aligning human resource policies with strategic objectives. BC Transit launched an initiative to enhance the provision of real-time transit information by analyzing its usage and determining the necessary business and technical capabilities for delivery via web and mobile platforms. This project focused on evaluating existing manual processes for supplying real-time data to customers and business users, identifying immediate improvements, and recommending long-term solutions. As part of the enterprise investment initiative, BC Transit identified the urgent need to upgrade its online communication tools and services to better meet evolving business requirements.
