As part of the Agency's goals to promote a safe and healthy workplace that supports the well-being of employees across the province, a project was initiated to support this goal by providing a service platform for employees to access workplace health and safety materials and programs. This project required a procurement with a strategic approach to award a contract to a successful vendor which initiated the implementation of the new platform and services. Mejora was engaged to provide project management, change management, and implementation expertise to lead the technical implementation of this platform. This work included developing the technical project plan and timeline, test plan, test cases, PIA and support to the development of the STRA and end-user communications.
Utilizing the strategy and framework outset by Mejora, a successful vendor was selected. We were further engaged to provide negotiation services which included the development of key outcomes for the procurement and key negotiation tools and documentation. We provided a central role in the negotiation, facilitating negotiation prep sessions and workshops with the business and worked collaboratively with leadership, risk management and legal counsel to finalize the contractual agreement. We also provided extensive negotiation coaching and training.

The ministry sought to establish a comprehensive Enterprise Business Architecture Program that integrates with its solution lifecycle, covering areas such as strategic alignment, solution concepts, business cases, funding models, architectures, requirements, systems development, implementation, and value realization. We were engaged to develop the Enterprise Business Architecture Program and Digital Blueprint, providing the necessary expertise to ensure the program’s effectiveness and alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.

As part of their initiative to identify a value proposition that emphasized the value that a core service brought to their partners, the ministry engaged Mejora to develop a Business Value Proposition Report that identified next step recommendations. We faciliated executive sessions using an outcomes approach which focused on ensuring that the core service's value matched to stakeholder needs - directly linking these to strategic priorities and coordinated efficiently with other programs.

The organization initiated a project to enhance the delivery of innovative, responsive, and cost-effective services to the public sector, identifying the need to assess its ability to manage cross-functional change during its largest project in a decade. Mejora was engaged to conduct comprehensive capability assessments, evaluating the organization’s capacity to handle cross-functional change effectively. Our services included analyzing existing processes, identifying strengths and gaps, and providing strategic recommendations to support the seamless integration and delivery of technology, accommodations, products, and services required by the government and the broader public sector. This enabled the organization to manage change across various functions, ensuring the successful procurement and supply of essential resources to serve the people of BC.
Capability Assessment and Identification
As part of an initiative to replace key, but aging, corporate systems, Mejora was engaged to assist with the writing and finalization of the business case to initiate this process. The new system was identified to be robust enough to combine the legacy systems into one, which would serve as a single point of access for citizens' online business registrations. The objective of this initiative was to enhance the delivery of services to citizens and improve their experience; reduce the ministry's technological footprint; and create value through customer satisfaction.
